HALL
Our personal 2010 harvest shown here from 2010 is made up of two varieties:
- 100% Doe Mill Zin - lighter than in most previous years.
- 50/50 Blend of our Zin with Bertagna's Petit Syrah - a medium bodied fun blend
These wines are not for sale.
The 2012 is out now and the 2013 is coming!!!
WINE MAKING
The wine was artfully crafted in the early years in Auburn by Guy Hall and Bob Barthelow. Currently we have them at Son Kissed Wines in Chico in the capable hands of the Bertagna family.
THE VINEYARD
About The Vineyard: Doe Mill Vineyards is owned and run by the Hall, Isom & Leighty families and its approximately 20,000 vines lie on the rocky red soils of the legendary Sierra Nevada Foothills east of Chico, in northern California.
These vines - which are over 40 years old - have the maturity much sought after for fine Zinfandel wines.
OUR WINES
The Zinfandel: Most of our wines are slightly peppery with hints of many other spices and the traditional berry flavors known for old vine Zinfandel.
All Hall bottlings are created from grapes picked by our family and friends in the fall of each year with a sugar content of 23-24 brix. The alcohol content generally hovers around 14%.
Our 2012 pick is out of the barrels and the 2013 is on its way, See writeups to the left. Our next family & friends pick was September 6th, 2015.
The Hall Vineyard bottles are not available for sale to the public.
DOE MILL
The commercial version of these wines are under the Doe Mill label and are available in the Chico/North State area, including at Raley's, Costco, S&S Produce and most locally owned fine restaurants.

NEW 2012 BOTTLING!!
June 2014 - It's in the bottle!!! Our 2012 Personal-Pick Harvest! This one is split into two bottles: The first is our signature 100% Zin, rich as always, but even better!
The second is a 3-way with our Zin and Bertagna's Syrah and a Butte County Nebbiolo. This one is noticeably brighter and more diverse in flavor - very fun!

The Hall, Isom & Bertagna families are supporters of many Chico area non-profits and our wines are often available at fundraisers.
PHILOSOPHY
7 miles up Hwy 32, off of Santos Road, is the family owned Doe Mill Vineyard. The Hall Vineyard bottles are from a private pick and bottling and are not available for sale to the public.
